NICOS

Very simple, an old-fashioned Mexican restaurant. It is very good! The Guacamole is made tableside as is the Caesar salad, all presented beautifully. And be sure to try mezcal from the roaming cart with refreshing orange slices and sal de gusano (a mix of rock salt, ground chiles, and roasted ground worms). Um, I think they forgot to mention that to me! We also enjoyed mango ceviche, carnitas tacos, and sopa seca de Natas (a sort of crepe and tomato cream cake resembling lasagna) which can be traced back to France’s influence on Mexico in the 19th century.
